Hi, I’m Carolyn, the heart behind The J Home. I’m an architect with a curiosity that refuses to sit still, always imagining how spaces can feel alive, personal, and full of life. I rearrange furniture in my dreams, doodle tiny details in the margins of my notebooks, and can spend far too long thinking about how a single cushion could completely change the mood of a room. Creativity has always been my partner in crime, from designing interiors to crafting handmade cushions that sprinkle a little magic into everyday life.

For me, design is not just about colors, layouts, or trends. It’s about creating spaces that tell a story, reflect who you are, and make you smile the moment you walk in the door. I love mixing elegance with playful touches, layering textures, and adding unexpected details that delight and surprise. Life is too short for boring corners, and every room has the potential to comfort, inspire, and spark joy even if it is just a tiny nook with the perfect pillow.

I started The J Home during a challenging time in Lebanon with a head full of ideas and zero instructions. Sleepless nights and countless cups of tea later, I decided to just go for it. There were plenty of “what am I doing?” moments, some pacing around my apartment, and more tea than anyone should consume in a lifetime, but somehow it all came together. My goal was simple: to help people turn their spaces into homes that feel uniquely theirs. Every room, every pillow, every tiny detail is an invitation to live beautifully, comfortably, and joyfully.

When I moved to Montreal, I brought the same purpose with me and the goal to continue inspiring people to create spaces that reflect their personality, lifestyle, and joy. Through my work, I encourage mixing, matching, and even bending a few design rules along the way. Your home should make you laugh, dream, and feel at peace all at once. It should tell your story, celebrate your personality, and invite you to pause and enjoy life’s little moments. That is my mission, and honestly, nothing makes me happier than seeing it come to life.
